NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma wide receiver Brandon Caleb has been granted a hardship waiver by the Big 12 Conference, restoring a sophomore football season cut short by injury.
Caleb, who appeared in 10 games in 2006 – mostly on special teams – played in the Sooners’ 2007 season opener against North Texas. He recorded one tackle while playing on special teams in the game before suffering a season-ending injury to his right knee.
Caleb, from Atlanta, has received full clearance to participate in the Sooners’ spring practices, which will start on March 5.
