Source: OSU QB Walsh had surgery, could be out for the season

A source told FOX23 the OSU junior starting quarterback had surgery on his foot Thursday and is out for the year. OSU told FOX23 it has no comment on if Walsh had surgery and that it won’t send out a news release on Walsh’s injury status in the future.
In his weekly news conference on Monday, OSU head coach Mike Gundy said Walsh’s injury was “not as severe as we originally thought.”
Walsh hurt his foot in the first quarter of Oklahoma State’s 40-23 win over Missouri State Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium. Walsh later returned to the OSU sideline on crutches and wearing a boot on his right foot.
