Most disappointing camp II
It didn’t take long to get a sense once again for what Dusty Dvoracek brings to the defensive line. But the fact that you had to wait more than two weeks to see the tackle on the field was problematic. Quite simply, Dvoracek needs to shake free of the injury bug.
Better turn it on
Former second-round pick Mark Bradley needs to step forward in the coming weeks. If he can’t win a starting job in his fourth season with the competition he’s facing, is there a need to go forward?
Also of note, don’t expect Dusty to play in this weekend’s game vs Seattle.
Dusty should be practicing with the team Saturday, after missing the entire camp with a calf injury
Travis Wilson 3 catches for 58 yards, his longest a 23 yard reception
Allen Patrick 2 carries for 9 yards (all in 4th quarter)
Mark Clayton DNP
Mark Bradley, 1 catch for 7 yards

Dusty Dvoracekm hasn’t been given a timetable as far as returning to practice. Dvoracek sustained the injury while working out before training camp with Tommie Harris. Dvoracek is eager to get back on the practice field, but knows the Bears want to make sure that he’s 100 percent healed. Here’s what he said Tuesday: “I don’t think I’m behind at all. I went through everything in the offseason. I’ve missed a week of practice, which is never good. You never want to miss time. But I’ll trade missing time now for missing time later on during the season. They just want to make sure there’s absolutely nothing wrong before I return so that I don’t make it worse by trying to go too quick. I think they’re just being over precautious and they want to take time with it now so it doesn’t linger into the season.”

On the first practice of training camp Wednesday, the Bears had Booker and Bradley working with the starters. Maybe Mark can finally have a healthy, and productive year for the Bears
